Lady Gaga continued her domination

LONDON - GLAM pop star Lady Gaga continued her domination of the British charts on Sunday, taking top spot in both the latest single and album lists, the Official UK Charts Company said.

Gaga, whose releases have enjoyed massive success in Britain in the last year, saw her single Telephone, which features Beyonce, climb to top spot in the singles' pile giving her a fourth number one UK single.

Meanwhile, her album The Fame went back to the top of the album chart for the third time.

Songs performed by the cast of the hit US high-school TV drama Glee climbed to second in the album charts, ahead of last week's number one Brother by Irish band Boyzone.

Virtual band Gorillaz were at number four with Plastic Beach and R&B singer Alicia Keys was in fifth with The Element Of Freedom.

Trailing Lady Gaga in the singles chart was last week's number one Pass Out, the debut release from south London rapper Tinie Tempah. Rihanna's Rude Boy dropped a place to third, Canadian teen idol Justin Bieber featuring Ludacris fell to fourth with Baby with singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding in fifth with Starry Eyed. -- REUTERS
