CAIRO - GOVERNMENT forces shelled a town in a mountainous region southwest of Libya's capital on Sunday, killing two people, Arabiya television reported, quoting an eyewitness.

'We are facing fierce attacks from the north since yesterday in the city of Yafran,' Arabiya cited a resident, Ezref, as saying. 'Two people have died a short while ago and so far we have four wounded.'
